DCE Interior Design

Sara Zou

My interest in interior design mainly comes from my love for color coordination and material selection. I find it fascinating to see how different colors and materials interact within a space, and I hope to create my own unique design style. During my studies at Enmore, I learned a lot of professional knowledge and realized the importance of reading more books and researching successful cases online to find the design direction that suits me best. I particularly enjoy learning about color and design software, as these allow me to express my creativity visually.

The rapid emergence and development of AI means that the future direction of interior design is no longer confined to traditional models. Considering that one of my strengths is being able to connect the Australian and Chinese markets, I hope to find opportunities in this area that suit me, such as design consulting, online courses, or material sourcing. China is currently developing at a remarkable pace, and after visiting several material and furniture exhibitions there, I feel that this market should not be underestimated. I hope to apply my understanding of colour and materials to real projects and find a way of practising design that I truly enjoy, whether in Australia or China.
