Mikayla Russo found her passion for interior design at a very young age. Mikayla spent lots of her free time as a young girl rearranging her bedroom and constantly re-decorating her home. She felt pride in her creativity whether it was through her drawings, paintings or at home projects, it was when she felt the most in her element. Mikayla loves the positive effect and impact that spaces can have on humans emotions, mood and lifestyle. She believes good design holds strong value in not only creating an aesthetically pleasing space but also a space that can dictate daily habits and state of mind. Emphasising the power of bringing forms of art and expression to reality.

Upon graduating Mikayla aspires to work in residential interior design to fulfill her desire to create spaces that allows daily routine to flow and accommodate convenience, as well as bringing to life a space that ignites a sense of belonging. Mikayla also shares a strong interest in restaurant interior design, the impact that the atmosphere has on the entire experience. Mikayla’s design style consists of expressing pops of colour that creates warmth and personality to a space. Using raw materials and textures that enhance connection tonatural elements, as well as prioritising sustainable materials. Keeping the space at a breathable level and not over powering but instead allowing a space to feel complete.
