The Euteko Hotel Project was a creative challenge to design a unique hotel experience in Surry Hills, starting from scratch. The task required developing everything from the target market to the concept, branding, and interior design, all inspired by the rich cultural landscape of the area.

CONCEPT OVERVIEW:
“Euteko” is a hotel where the fusion of knowledge and creativity occurs seamlessly, much like the precise melting point in a eutectic mixture. This concept draws from the idea that, just as elements merge to create something new and stable, the experiences and knowledge gained here become an enduring part of the guest’s journey, leaving an indelible mark that stays with them long after they leave.

MCM HOUSE

The project involved redesigning a mid-century modern home for Simone Young, Chief Conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. As she downsized for retirement, Simone valued the home’s aesthetic, private entrance, and bushland setting. The redesign included a complete internal rebuild, a curated collection of mid century art and designer furniture, and a Phase 2 addition of a self-contained unit on the lower level.

CONCEPT OVERVIEW:

Fluidity,  focusing on seamless movement through the space. An open floor plan and curtain walls were used to create a continuous flow between areas, promoting openness and connection with the surrounding environment.

Wooloomooloo Warehouse

Treechangers, the project transformed a Sydney warehouse into a modern retreat, contrasting their rural Hunter Valley home. It combined a versatile workspace and dining area, featuring contemporary art and adaptable lighting. The space reconnected them with city life while accommodating their semi-retirement needs.

CONCEPT OVERVIEW:

Sarau, transforming a Sydney warehouse into a social and engaging space. It used transparency and an open floor plan to connect with guests, blending a versatile workspace and dining area. The design offered a modern contrast to their rural Hunter Valley home.
