Welcome to The Harp Hotel, a boutique retreat in the heart of Surry Hills, inspired by Ruth Park’s The Harp in the South. Our hotel celebrates the area’s rich history, blending early 1900s charm with modern comforts. Each room is thoughtfully designed, drawing on the resilience of the working-class community once central to Surry Hills, with nods to Irish culture and storytelling. Enjoy authentic Irish-inspired cuisine, explore curated glassware, and immerse yourself in a vibrant cultural narrative. At The Harp, we invite you to step into a living story that honors the past while embracing the present.
George Street
The project involved dividing the space into three distinct areas: a reception, a café, and a furniture display, while also incorporating a staircase and an elevator to provide access to the design firm on the upper level. To complement the building’s exposed beams, I selected a natural color palette that harmonizes with the architectural features. The design was developed using Revit and refined in Photoshop to achieve a polished presentation.

The brief was to renovate the kitchen, bathroom, and staircase to better accommodate the needs of a family. Given the compact size of the kitchen and the father’s profession as a chef, clever storage solutions were implemented by incorporating cupboards and drawers beneath the staircase. The bathroom was reconfigured to enhance functionality and create a more open, practical space. The design was developed in Revit and further refined in Photoshop for a polished finish.
