Founded in 2010, LoungeLovers is an Australian owned furniture company employing a group of like minded individuals, family and friends.

Good furniture design is about improving our everyday lives and making our homes more functional, more comfortable, more inspiring places to be. Unfortunately, in a market offering either generic ranges from commercial furniture chains or one-off originals from high end design stores – the best design is out of reach for most of us.

Based on the belief that innovative furniture design should be available to everyone (not just the few) we set out to change the status quo. By finding designers and furniture makers who share the same values, we brought the design in-house, cut out the middle men and streamlined our supply chain. With a fresh approach, working smarter and doing more with less, we created a new model for delivering the best furniture design to our customers at an affordable price.

Starting as an eCommerce offering, LoungeLovers has since opened showrooms in Waterloo, Crows Nest, Belrose and Castle Hill in Sydney, Fitzroy and South Yarra in Melbourne, Fortitude Valley in Brisbane and Adelaide CBD.

The Elementals Collection is a unique collaboration between St James Whitting and Resene Paints . Interior designers, Kate St James and Catherine Whitting created the Elementals Collection, which features unique colours born from the designers’ passions for the environment with names such as Alcatraz Escape, Montauk, Noosa Blue, Bangalow Leaf, Cartegena and Elche. The collection captures elements from nature, the environment and original artworks, translating them into curated palettes of colour. Skin Deep from the SJW Tiger Lily palette and White Night from the SJW Scratches Indigo palette provides the perfect base palette for the graduate student’s custom made set design for the What’s The Future of Interior Design? Verb Syndicate is a studio of ‘creative engineers’ — unique minds who design live events, websites, branding, video, multimedia and graphic arts on a project-by-project basis. In that sense, a spirit of collaboration and a maker attitude defines their work. Simon Grant has been an instrumental industry mentor to the 2020 graduating events class at TAFENSW Design Centre Enmore, coaching the students on how to transform a physical graduate exhibition into an interactive online design experience. With his help the students in the events 2020 class have creatively engineered this debut online exhibition and live streamed industry event .
