INSTYLE has pioneered LIFE Textiles – an innovative sustainable textile collection designed to Cradle to Cradle principles. Launched in 2004, it was the first Australian textile collection to address the entire lifecycle, from raw material sourcing through to product recyclability. Made from renewable materials, like Australian and NZ wool, LIFE Textiles involve less finishing chemicals, as wool is naturally fire retardant and soil resistant. LIFE Textiles® is produced to strict environmental criteria from fibre through to fabric, such as biodegradable detergents and low impact dyes, building on best practices recommended by US EPA and EU Eco Label.
