I am optimistic about the future but I think we need to shape it for the better by design. Technology is advancing rapidly and will help us as long as we harness its power for good. I think designers and design thinking will be valued but we need to collaborate more with others to address world problems. Arguably, hybrid careers (like mine) should become the norm rather than the exception. Designers need to stay focused on important issues such as sustainability, diversity and resilience in our increasingly hectic, digitally distracted, post pandemic world.
