I think the future of human beings is emerging stronger, smarter, and more resilient through innovative design solutions.

The user experience will remain at the forefront of interior design as will sustainable and environmentally responsible design. Design will improve connectivity and safe interaction while remaining sensitive to comfortable surroundings. Interactive digital spaces will grow for the design community as well as within the tradeshow environment which will require a strong digital presence. Homes and businesses will seek to functionally transform their spaces into efficient sanctuaries especially during uncertain or unrestful times. Corporate meeting rooms and social spaces will expand under controlled health and design guidelines.

The most reliable way to predict the future is to create it.

The future is more empathetic. I hope we are reflecting and learning from our experiences to redesign spaces we live and gather that help people connect and unify better. Investing in spaces that are considered, durable and kind to people and the earth alike.

The future of interior design starts with ourselves, to set the bar, develop our skills, create new ideas, and explore them.

I have a passion for collecting artefacts, decorative items, unique designs and using tasteful colours and textures. I am confident I can work on a variety of projects. I truly believe that the future of interior design has three main element which are hear to stay for a long time to come; Innovative minimalism, design interconnected with smart technology and environmental sustainability.

Unity and Individuality.

With all the societal changes in the world, we are encouraged to reflect our relationships within the social community and self-reflect our personal lives. Future designs will create more humanity and individuality; we do not have to fit the mould anymore but can express who we are.

2020 has reminded us of the importance of the things we were often too busy to appreciate. Moving forward, designers need to meet this challenge with a greater understanding of the need to innovate, to scrutinise the status quo, challenge technological inequities, and reshape the way we think of about work spaces, home-life, entertainment and recreation.

With advancements in technology we need to constantly improve our computer skills.

The future of Design mirrors the future of our society. The Global COVID pandemic has clearly pushed us off of our previous trajectory with more time spent at home than before. I believe the future of design is in our homes, forever connected and multipurpose.

What is future of the design? To me – it is about accessibility and appreciation of a wider audience as well as embracing multifunctionality and sustainability in the materials we choose to use.

How we want to live our life in the future will depend on what the future of the design is. Sustainability will be the main topic all around the world and in industry, not only for interior design.

I believe COVID-19 has had a major impact on the future of interior design. With people spending more time inside their homes and in some instances in isolation, multitude of design considerations have now become more significant than ever. The designer has to prioritize things like shared areas, personal gyms, home offices, children’s play rooms and their online learning spaces while putting crucial emphasis on energy efficiency.
