Interior designers in the twenty-first century must consider how and why a space is used. Considering the state of 2020 with a global pandemic and a shift in how we work and live, the future of design revolves around the reconfiguration of the built environment. Designers must look past the materialistic aspect of design and focus on the functionality of a space, exploring how an individual utilises, survives and thrives in a space.

I believe the future of interiors is designing with all our senses and unmasking opportunities for multi-functionality in existing spaces. In doing so, new synergies will arise for the end user.

I am extremely excited about my new career direction into interior design. My practice seeks to create holistic, sustainable designs that look back to the sustainable traditions of vernacular architecture, weaving through innovative concepts and creations that will meet the future spatial needs of my clients.
