About Space was founded in 1989 by Mark Vasserman, originally under the name Design Station. The company opened doors in Fitzroy in 2009 under the new name and has transformed into a top Melbourne destination for decorative, architectural and commercial lighting solutions.  

Mark’s passion for design engineering and solution-providing has been the driving force behind the impressive growth of the About Space business. The team comprises qualified electrical engineers, industrial engineers and interior designers and offers technical assistance to builders, electrical consultants, architects and designers. About Space also offers retail customers the service of their lighting specialists through an in-store and in-home consultation service. There are now three showrooms across Melbourne and Sydney and representatives for each state Australia wide.
