Growing up surrounded in the performing arts Alexia has always displayed creativity through more than just words on paper. Alexia strives to create rhythmic and dynamic environments that awaken the senses of the user experiencing the space. Designing not only functional elements but playful and unique details guided by the personalities found within clients. With her background in the performing arts Alexia understands the importance of lighting within interior spaces, and the feeling and emotions it can evoke. She enjoys using lighting as a major design feature in many of her works, creating an almost cinematic experience for the user. <\/p>\n
Alexia has always been immersed in the world of design, growing up she found herself running through ailes of tile showrooms and helping mix tile glue. It is through her family’s love and passion for design and construction that she decided to apply for a TVET course in Interior Design during her high school years. This contrast to what she had been learning in years prior drove her to find a deep passion with design in her own regard and she continued on to apply for the Bachelors of Interior Design. <\/p>\n
In the past 3 years of study Alexia has been able to fuse her love for the performing arts with her passion for design, creating theatrical spaces that are living and breathing illustrations of her design values. After graduation Alexia plans to expand her horizons in design into production design for film, television and theatre, reigniting her connection to the performing arts and the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n
